GUESTS will be taken on a journey through the ages by looking back at the way we used to dress.
Petersfield museum will be hosting a talk taking visitors through the historical garments of the 19th century.
The museum will use examples of their own and other museums collections, accompanied by historical images.
The main principal of the talk is to explore how styles have changed along with body shape and look at how the Victorians used dress to express the several stages of mourning.
The talk will be carried out by museum curator Dr Kathrin Pieren, who will showcase a range of dresses and accessories.
The talk starts at 7pm on July 16 with light refreshments available to all the guests.
