A FAMILY fun event gave children a great day out over the weekend.
Members of Ickle Pickles, a neo-natal charity, held their annual summer party on Castle Field, in Southsea.
Full of games, live music, stalls, raffles and different activities for kids, the day entertained the whole family.
There was also a petting farm and mini-rides.
Lorraine Blackburn, ambassador for the Hampshire branch of Ickle Pickles, said it was good to do their annual celebration in a new location.
She said: ‘This year, we did the party on Castle Field as our numbers are growing constantly.
‘Normally we do it at a local school but it has just been getting bigger and bigger.
‘We wanted to have more attractions and appeal to more families.
‘We always give the money raised to the neo-natal unit at Queen Alexandra Hospital, in Cosham.
‘They do such a good job there and we all have close links with the unit.’
