Kids' party in the park planned for charity

A FUN-PACKED day in the park is being planned to help raise cash for a charity.

The event will see activities taking place in Havant Park, in Park Road North, on Sunday, April 30.

The day will raise cash for charity Beat the Bullies, set up by teenager Chloe Hine, from West Leigh, Havant, after she experienced bullying and wanted to help others in the same situation.

Organiser Jessica Keating, from Buckland, Portsmouth, said she was inspired to help after hearing Chloe’s story.

She said: ‘Bullying is such a big issue.

‘This charity is all about making kids aware that there are people they can talk to.’

The day will see live music, dancing, face painting, bouncy castles, plus activities from groups such as Jiggy Wrigglers, Music Moo, Music Fusion, plus more.

It will take place from 10am until 4pm.
