FIREFIGHTERS were called to a home after smoke alarms were set off in the kitchen.

A crew from Southsea were called to Greetham Street at 1am on Sunday.

There was no fire but firefighters ventilated the property to clear the smoke.

Also, a crew from Cosham were called to Benham Drive at 2.15pm yesterday after an oven was switched on accidentally. The fire was out on arrival.
