Ladies walk cross-country for hospice

THREE women have managed to raise over £200 for charity.

Nikki Caputa, Lizz Clarke and Rowenna Gordon walked 26 miles on the Clarendon Way walk last month, in support of Naomi House and Jacksplace.

Together, they reached a total of £232.

Naomi House and Jacksplace provides hospice care to life-limited children across the south coast, as well as offering emotional support to the children’s families.

The walk, which starts at Winchester Cathedral and finishes at Salisbury Cathedral, takes participants across the vast countryside,

Nikki, who runs Fab Body Fitness in Fareham, has now completed this walk for the charity four times.

She said: ‘I visited Naomi House about five years ago and I was completely touched by the amazing environment and the wonderful work that they do.

‘Raising money for such a worthy cause is a great way to give something back, and being outdoors walking, is a gentle way to exercise and keep up your fitness levels.

‘We had a great time and managed to encourage each other along the way to ensure we all finished the challenge.’
