A LIFEBOAT was called out to retrieve a yacht after it suffered engine failure.

Portsmouth Lifeboat crew went to the aid of the 31ft yacht today at 1pm after it ran into difficulty off Southsea beach.

A spokesman for the Coastguard said that two people were onboard the yacht, which had no sails, when it was taken by the RNLI into Langstone Harbour, arriving by 2pm.
