FIREFIGHTERS were called to a lift rescue in Southsea.

A woman was stuck in a lift in Alexandra Court in Clarendon Road.

Two crews from Southsea fire station were called at 10.30am yesterday.

The woman was released from the lift, which took crews around half an hour.

She was uninjured.

A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: ‘Two trucks were sent to the address and worked on releasing the woman.’
