MEMBERS of Lions Clubs have been teaming up in Portsmouth.

Participants arrived in the city for the International Youth Camp which is being organised by Lions Clubs within the district.

During this week more than 40 members from Lions clubs around the world will be based at Osmington Bay in Dorset where they did cultural and teambuilding activities.

One of the highlights was a visit to the Historic Dockyard and Spinnaker Tower.

There was also some shopping at Gunwharf Quays.

Richard Fulstow of Cosham Lions, John Apps of Portsmouth and Fran Bond from Crofton have spent months planning a packed and entertaining programme which has been well-received.

John said: ‘It’s been a privilege to have played such a part in bringing Lions of the world together.

‘I hope that this can be a very formative experience which our younger members will look back on with pride in years ahead.’

Cosham and Portsmouth Lions are always keen to recruit new members.
