A NEW children’s play area will get its official opening tomorrow.

The play area at Hollybrook Gardens in Locks Heath will consist of a bobbin swing, a see-saw, a wide slide, giant climbing sticks, cobble maze, climbing frame, picnic tables and benches.

Two consultation sessions were held last summer for residents to make suggestions on how it could be improved.

Fareham Play Rangers will be open the play area from 10am to noon.

Children will have the opportunity to enjoy a range of play and sporting equipment as well as get creative with art and craft materials.

All activities are free and cakes and refreshments will be available.
