MUCH-LOVED cuddly companions were given some tender loving care at a special exhibition.

Bear-it-in-Mind teddy bear restoration company visited Portsmouth City Museum where there has been a six-month long exhibition exploring the history of the teddy bear.

It looks at everything from the first designs, based on real animals, to modern character and designer bear.

And from the earliest manufacturers in Europe and the USA to production on a worldwide scale.

Jodie Tatchell, Rachel Mathrick and Amanda Middleditch, had a good look at some very old bears that are on loan to the museum, including a Wendy Boston-style and a Dean’s mouse-eared bear.

The exhibition runs until tomorrow.
