CLASSIC car owners and admirers are invited to a walk down motoring memory lane.

Havant will play host to its seventh annual Classic Vehicle Run at Havant Academy, in Wakefords Way.

The event is open to any car, motorbike or lorry made before 1985 and those taking part will have the chance to follow either a scenic 60 or 40-mile route that will finish at Fort Purbrook’s Peter Ashley Activity Centre, where a family fun day is being held.

More than 150 vehicles will be assembling at 9am onwards with a view to starting the run at 10am.

Anyone interested can view the cars and motorcycles at the start.

The fun day opens at 11am and will include activities such as archery, rifle and pistol shooting, a junior assault course, climbing, tours of the fort and a selection of side shows and stalls.

All money raised will go to the Mayor of Havant, Councillor Yvonne Weeks’, chosen charities which this year are The Soldiers, Sailors Airmen and Families’ Association, and Park Families. The event takes place on April 10.
