A LORRY carrying scrap metal overturned on the A27.
Sussex Police said officers were called at 9.37am yesterday following the incident on the A27 Westbound near Norton Lane, between Tangmere and Fontwell, heading towards Chichester.
The driver of the 43-tonne lorry suffered minor injuries and no other people were involved.
One lane of the dual carriageway had to be closed, and the road surface was left in a poor condition due to scrap metal on the road.
One of the lanes required temporary repairs and recovery work by the Highways Agency following the incident.
