THERE were slight delays to trains going through Cosham after a lorry got stuck under a railway bridge.

It happened just before 2pm on Friday when the lorry hit the Network Rail bridge in Cow Lane, Wymering.

Police closed off the road and engineers from Network Rail were called to assess the bridge but no damage was found.

The lorry’s tyres were let down and the driver was able to push it out from underneath the bridge.

The road was reopened a short time later but there were slight delays to rail services for a couple of hours as inspections were carried out.
