A CLEAN-UP operation was launched when a lorry shed some fuel on a road.

The incident happened in Limberline Spur, Hilsea, in Portsmouth.

Firefighters from Cosham fire station were sent out to deal with the situation at 11.45am on Saturday.

They cleaned up the fuel, which had spilled on to the road.

Crews then made sure the lorry and the road was safe for traffic to use before leaving the scene.
