PEOPLE in Fareham are being encouraged to lose weight and raise money for charity at the same time.

The Fab Body Bootcamp is a series of boot camp style training programmes which take place in Fareham.

Every pound in weight lost by the end of the first four-week programme in January will be matched by £1 in cash which will go to the Naomi House Children’s Hospices.

Nikki Caputa, who runs the bootcamp, said: ‘We’ve got such a great response to what we do from people here in Fareham that we decided to do something for charity.

‘I was keen to see the donation stay here to help people locally. That’s one of the reasons we settled on Naomi House.

‘I hope that this initiative will help give people who just haven’t quite found the courage to take the plunge and join one of our boot camps to get that little extra motivation that will get them started.’

Lizzi Holt, community fundraising team member, at Naomi House, said: ‘Everyone here at the Naomi House was delighted to hear about Nikki’s plan, and best of all, everyone benefits.

‘The more pounds lost by people shaping up in the New Year, the better the donation to help sick, disabled and disadvantaged children here in Hampshire. ‘It’s very exciting and we wish everyone signing up to boot camp the best of luck with reaching their personal targets.’
