A VEHICLE fire caused delays for motorists on the M27 today.

Two fire crews – one from Fareham and a second from Cosham – were called to the westbound carriageway between junction 12, M275 Portsmouth and junction 11, A27 Fareham at 4pm.

The underneath of a green mini van had caught on fire.

Crews tackled the blaze and left the scene an hour later.

Hampshire Constabulary also attended, but said the matter was passed onto the Highways Agency.

No one was injured.
