Major blaze at Cowes is visible across the Solent
Firefighters were this afternoon called to a mjor fire at Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
A huge plume of smoke from the inferno was visible from the mainland.
The fire broke out in a boat yard at Medina Village at about 12.30pm.
There were reports of explosions being heard at the scene.
