TOYS, gifts and unwanted items will be up for grabs at a community swap day.

Gosport Borough Council is holding the event on Saturday from 10am to 1pm.

Visitors can take along items in working order they no longer want and take anything they can make use of.

Anything left at the end of the day will be passed on to the Jacobs Well Care Centre.

Accepted items include toys, nursery, household and kitchen goods, unwanted gifts, small electrical items in working order, plants, books and DVDs.

Broken and large items will not be accepted.

But there will be a notice-board to advertise large items on the day.

Representatives from the British Heart Foundation will be there accepting donations of clothing, household textiles, mobile phones, printer cartridges, toner cartridges and shoes.

The swap day will be held at St Mary’s Parish Centre in Green Road, Alverstoke.
