FIVE members of Cosham Baptist Church travelled 7,000 miles to see how aid is being received in Malawi.

The group visited the Chikwawa region to view a development project supported by the Christian Relief and Development Agency, Tearfund.

Cosham Baptist Church is twinned with the project and they wanted to see the challenges first hand, and how donations from the UK are spent.

John Lawrence, one of the team members, said: ‘I was overwhelmed by their determination to tackle problems and their willingness to give time for community projects.’

Village Chief Nyasa and his local committees welcomed the group and took a keen interest in the group’s copy of The News.
