A MAN had to be cut free from his car after it was involved in a collision.

The incident happened in Emsworth Road, Havant at 7.40pm yesterday.

Paramedics, police and firefighters were called to the crash, which had involved two cars, on the junction of Bellair Road.

Firefighters worked for 40 minutes to cut the man, who was in his 40s, from his Vauxhall Zafira Club as he had suffered back injuries.

He was taken to hospital, as was the driver of the other car.
