Man cycling hundreds of miles for Rowans Hospice

A MAN will be pushing his body to the limit when he cycles from Vietnam to Cambodia.

Russell Tullett will be completing the feat to raise money for The Rowans Hospice, in Purbrook.

The hospice provides end-of-life care for people in Portsmouth and the surrounding area.

Russell, from Chichester who worked as a nurse in Portsmouth for a number of years, will be cycling more than 275 miles for the event this year.

He said: ‘For those who know me, this will be a huge challenge as I’m not the most athletic person.

‘I also underwent a hip replacement last September.

‘So not only do I have the challenge of the cycle ride itself but the uphill struggle of getting match fit.’

Russell has set up a fundraising page and has already raise £670.

He will be holding fundraising events throughout the year to boost donations.
