A MAN who was found dead on a beach by dog walkers had taken his own life, an inquest has ruled.

Laurence Curran was found on Warsash beach near the Warsash Maritime Academy on April 30.

An inquest at Portsmouth Guildhall on Tuesday heard the 62-year-old, of Warsash Road, Locks Heath, had been on bail at the time of his death, on suspicion of a serious offence.

Coroner David Horsley ruled his death as suicide, after hearing he had left a Post-it note and a box containing a will and money for a funeral at his flat.
