Man jumps into water at ferryport

A MAN was pulled out of the water near the Gosport ferry terminal.

The man, who is thought to have jumped into the water, was helped out and taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, by the ambulance service.

The incident took place just before 4.30pm yesterday.

A South Central Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: ‘We attended to someone who was in the water.

‘He was pulled out of the water and was conscious and breathing.

‘He was then taken to hospital for routine checks.’
