FIREFIGHTERS were called to cut a man free when he got his fingers stuck on industrial staples at work.

The incident happened at Debenhams, in Palmerston Road, Southsea, on Saturday lunchtime.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, had been reaching for something under the till when his hand became stuck.

He was freed after firefighters cut the staples.

He was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham for treatment.
