A TOP hospital consultant died suddenly following a meal at a relative’s house in Fareham.

Mike Davies, a consultant anaesthetist at Taunton’s Musgrove Park Hospital, collapsed after the meal on Friday, January 9.

Dr Davies, who was in his 40s, leaves pregnant wife Vicky and two young children.

The cause of death is being established via a post-mortem.

Dr Davies, of Minehead Road, Bishop’s Lydeard, was also a parish councillor.
