Man takes lead of Chichester Harbour authority

A NEW appointment has been made at a harbour authority.

Richard Craven has been appointed to the new post of director and harbour master at Chichester Harbour Conservancy.

He said: ‘Chichester Harbour is a very special place, and I look forward to working with the team and our partners to safeguard and advance the harbour as a vibrant centre for recreation, within a pristine environment.’

This is part of a wider restructure of the organisation, which sees the amalgamation of the posts of harbour master and director. Mr Craven joined the conservancy in 1998.
