Children and adults alike will delight at glittering illuminated trees before stepping inside the zoo's Grade 1 listed manor house, Marwell Hall to be transported into an enchanting Neverland-inspired world that will fill hearts with seasonal cheer.

The journey begins with some warming festive refreshments before Mother Christmas will greet guests young and old in Pirate Cove for an enchanting sensory reading of a tale inspired by Peter Pan.

Families will then join Marwell's mischievous elves in their workshop where little ones will create their very own Christmas present bag to take home.

Finally the big man himself will be in his grotto granting wishes and giving a wonderful gift to each child before families can pose for a professionally taken family photo as a lasting memory of the day.

The experience lasts around 60-80 minutes and is always hugely popular so booking in advance is recommended.

For guests who book onto evening Christmas sessions from 4pm, entry to the zoo is not included but they will receive a return ticket from the elves on arrival at the Hall to return to visit again by 17 March 2019.

To spread extra cheer, the Marwell elves have starred in their very own festive take of the viral hit Baby Shark.

Baby Elf, which can be viewed on Marwell's social media channels, features a catchy backing track thanks to the zoo's own workplace choir and follows a family of mischievous elves as they prepare for Christmas...

Marwell will also be encouraging visitors to take #Elfies '“ selfies with their playful elves for a social media competition.
