The ‘Massage Marathon’ will take place at St Simon’s in Waverley Road from 11am to 5pm on Saturday.

Organiser Helena Murphy said a minimum 15-minute massage from a trained masseuse would cost £6, and all profits would go to the charity.

She said: ‘Every further 15 minute massage thereafter will be a further minimum donation of £5.’

Ms Murphy said there would be separate massage areas for men and women.

Portsmouth Football Club academy players Dory Yates and Lucas McCardle will be there as special guests from 3pm. Ms Murphy said Walking with the Wounded was a great cause.

She said: ‘It’s such a worthwhile charity which finances qualifications and vocational training for wounded, injured and sick veterans.’
