McCann: Doncaster were miles better than Portsmouth

Grant McCann felt Doncaster were much better than Pompey.

The Rovers boss has no doubt who he reckoned was the superior side in Saturday's 0-0 draw.

McCann's men put Kenny Jackett's troops under intense first-half pressure but couldn't find a goal at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The second half proved more even, with the visitors having the clearer chances to win it.

McCann believes there was no comparison between the two outfits, however.

He told the Doncaster Free Press: '˜It was probably two points dropped for us, the way we played.

'˜I thought we were the much better team.

'˜We were playing a team who had won four out of four and we were the best team on the pitch by a mile.

'˜I think Kenny (Jackett) is an honest man and he'll say exactly the same thing.'

McCann was frustrated about his side not turning pressure into goals.

He added: '˜We had chances again.

'˜I don't want to be asked questions about not scoring in three games because it will just annoy me.

'˜We've got a good group of players there and they'll score goals.

'˜We're creating the chances.

'˜We're not scoring them at the moment but it'll come for us, it's a long season.

'˜You can see what we're trying to do.

'˜I'm just disappointed we couldn't get over the line on Saturday.'
