LANDLORD Mike Burchett knows how to keep his regulars happy.
Mike has been running the pub himself for six years but has been working there for around a decade.
In a bid to give it a more local feel, he decided to change the policy of employing managers to run the pub.
Mike said: ‘We have got to have the right people running the pub. We have to have a good team.
‘Picking the right staff is important because it’s very difficult on this side of the water.
‘It’s very important for the country to still have community pubs.
‘I just talk to people and keep everyone happy and give a good standard.’
Mike was first attracted to the pub when he noticed the stunning and scenic location and he has worked hard to provide a good service to his customers.
‘We have to give the customers what they want,’ he said.
‘It’s like anywhere, you have got to be able to offer what people want.
‘I don’t take any nonsense. People feel safe here.’
