Meeting on Gosport bridge to mark International Women's Day

Marking International Women’s Day, Gosport-based Go Women will be meeting on the Millennium Bridge to show solidarity.

The Join Me on the Bridge event is celebrated around the world as part of International Women’s Day, which was yesterday. It shows women can build bridges and create strong foundations.

Founder of Go Women Jacky Charmen has organised the event following the success of last year in which around 100 women turned up at the bridge in the freezing cold, at Forton Lake.

Women from across the country attended to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The event is this Sunday, from 2pm.
