Yachting firm boss cleared over deaths

Two men were left battered and bruised after two masked raiders barged into their home.

The men, aged 31 and 32, were attacked with wooden batons as the intruders forced their way into the home and demanded cash.

Police described the incident, in Botley Drive, Leigh Park as a frightening experience for the victims.

Both men were taken to hospital for bruises and gashes following the attack, which happened at about 11pm on Friday, although details have only just been released.

Detective Nick Wieczorek, from Waterlooville CID, said: 'This was a very frightening incident which shocked the occupants of the address and we are appealing for anyone who has information about the offenders.'

One suspect was thin, mid to late 20s, about 5ft 5in tall, and was wearing a dark-coloured waist-length jacket and a dark-coloured balaclava. The other was chubby, mid to late 20s, about 6ft tall, and wore a scarf over his mouth and nose and had round glasses. Call police on 101.
