ONE of the area’s most popular brass bands will celebrate 30 years with a concert.

Blendworth Brass Band was founded by Commander Chris Eason in 1982.

Since then it has played all over Europe and was named Best Brass Band in this year’s Portsmouth Music Festival.

The concert, which is open to past players and friends only, is on May 24 at Blendworth Church Hall, off Blendworth Lane, in Horndean.
