A RESIDENT dialled 999 after they thought a fire had started in an underground car park.

When Southsea firefighters turned up at the facility near Edgbaston House, in Somerstown, Portsmouth, at 6pm on Saturday they realised nothing was wrong.

Watch manager Rob Dellow said: ‘The resident called us with good intentions because the mist covering the car park looked like smoke.’
