More than 500 Harleys attend annual bike show on Hayling IslandÂ

HUNDREDS of Harley Davidsons descended to Hayling Island for an annual bike show.

Bikers, including from the New Forest Harley Davidson Owners group, rode to Eastoke Corner on Saturday for the event. 

The family fun day, in aid of The Blood Runners charity, attracted big crowds with many visitors keen to get pictures with the bikes, the bikers and the entertainment, which included two Stormtroopers.

Biker Bob Wilkinson, from West Sussex, loves going to events and attends many around the world.

He said: '˜The best part about getting involved with a group is the friendship, it's like a big family, and of course to go to events like this.'

Councillor Peter Wade, mayor of Havant, arrived on the back of a Harley Davidson to look around all the bikes.

Rally manager Helen Watt said she was happy with the turnout with more than 550 bikers on site, including one from Boston in America.

'˜We've got the Dutch here from Amsterdam and Rotterdam, bikers from Jersey, Wales and Scotland '“ it's a really good party atmosphere for all ages.

'˜We have riders in their 60s and also passengers as young as 12 on their parents' bikes.'
