CHILDREN from Portsdown Primary School made blue cakes to celebrate this year’s Blue Day.

Pupils also dressed up in blue and had the opportunity to buy blueberry muffins.

Caren Heritage, finance manager, said: ‘It’s fantastic, the kids love it. I think children should be aware of these things, about how to raise money and how to help people.’

Meanwhile, pupils from Medina Primary School also dressed in blue to mark the day.

And staff from Warings paid for the privilege to wear blue today.
