MORE than 30 jobs have been saved after a buyer was found for a nursery which went into administration last week.

Administrators RSM Tenon have announced the sale of the business and assets of The Vicarage Nursery Limited to Little Explorers Nursery and Pre-School.

The childcare business was founded in 2003 and based in Heritage Business Park, Heritage Way, Gosport. It has 34 staff and has more than 180 children registered on its books.

RSM Tenon were appointed as administrators of The Vicarage Nursery on Thursday.

Sandy Kinninmonth, of RSM Tenon, said: ‘We are delighted to have achieved a sale of the business and assets of The Vicarage Nursery to Little Explorers Nursery and Preschool Limited.

‘The sale has ensured that 34 jobs have been saved and the children have continuation of care.’

Mike Holdaway, managing director of Little Explorers Nursery and Pre-school, added: ‘It was imperative that the jobs of the staff involved were saved and that there was as little disruption as possible for the children and parents concerned.

‘We shall now focus on increasing the occupancy level at the nursery and ensuring the business is run as efficiently as possible and making the nursery a great place for the children.’
