A MOTORCYCLIST has been involved in an crash outside Portsmouth and Southsea train station.

Police and ambulance have been called to the scene on Isambard Brunnel Rd where it meets Station Road.

Officers from Hampshire Constabulary helped to assist while the motorist was treated by paramedics.

Two ambulances were called and police closed a section of the road after the accident at 1.50pm.

A spokeswoman from South Central Ambulance Service said: ‘We were called to the incident at 1.49pm.

‘A motorcyclist was involved in an crash with a van.

‘We sent a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew.

‘One person was treated on-scene for back injuries and taken to QA Hospital.’
