A CAR and motorbike crashed on a city centre road.

The ambulance service, police and firefighters were called to the roundabout connecting Stanhope Road and Commercial Road on Friday.

It happened outside Portsmouth and Southsea station at around 7.20pm.

The ambulance service said a 50-year-old man came off the motorbike and complained of back pain so was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham. No-one else was injured in the crash.
