Mr Morgan is supporting children's health and fitness initiative, The Daily Mile, by encouraging every school in his constituency to take part in a 15-minute jog or run at least three times per week.

'˜Schools are under a great deal of pressure to fit a number of things into the school day but if Portsmouth schools can find the time to introduce this initiative then I am sure they will see benefits,' explained Mr Morgan.

The initiative aims to improve the physical and mental health and well-being of UK children by encouraging more schools to participate in The Daily Mile.
