FIREFIGHTERS had to smash the back window of a car after a baby accidentally became locked inside.

Southsea fire station crews were called to an area behind St Swithun’s Church, in Waverley Road, Southsea, shortly after 10.50am yesterday

Crews arrived to find a baby locked inside an Audi car.

The mother accidentally left the car keys inside, before the vehicle automatically locked itself.

They smashed the furthest window away from the tot, before entering to rescue the uninjured baby.
