Murder investigators continue search off M27

Last night a cordon was in place between junction 5 and 7 westbound as officers searched the area.

It comes after Shkelzen Dauti, 21, known as Genny, was found dead in Gilpin Close, Southampton, on March 11.

A spokeswoman yesterday said: 'We have temporarily closed part of the westbound carriageway of the M27 between junction 7 and junction 5 while we carry out enquiries as part of Operation Siskin, the investigation into the murder of Genny Dauti.

'Specialist officers will remain on scene today (Thursday, March 30) and tomorrow, Friday, March 31.

'We are making every effort to ensure there is minimal disruption to road users.'
