A MUSIC festival will celebrate Waterlooville’s 200th year with a diverse range of events.
Waterlooville Music Festival takes place from June 13 to 21 and opens with Market Place Music, a series of free musical performances throughout the town centre.
This will be followed by an evening concert from the Royal Marines Association Concert Band.
Concerts will continue every evening and will include choirs, bands and orchestras, and a folk and ale night.
The festival also offers free workshops for schools.
Tickets for the Royal Marines Association Concert Band performance are £8 and those for the remaining concerts are £5.
This year the Waterlooville Music Festival coincides with celebrations to mark the 200th anniversary of the town.
On Thursday, June 18 the HMS Nelson Saxophone Quartet will be in Waterlooville Precinct to mark the occasion.
All other music festival events will take place at St George’s Church, in the town centre.
