THE Hampshire Recorder Sinfonia will be performing a concert to help raise money for the Portsmouth Association for the Blind.

The association, in Stubbington Avenue, North End, is raising money to replace a minibus, which was written off last year.

The concert takes place at Portsmouth Cathedral, St Thomas Street, Old Portsmouth, on Saturday, March 19.

Music fans can look forward to orchestral music.

Paul Oakley-Cleife, fundraising manager of the association, said: ‘We are promoting the event as widely and as enthusiastically as possible.

‘We hope people will be able to come, and bring as many friends and relatives as they can to fill the vast cathedral space.’

The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10, and concession rates apply. To find out more call Paul on (023) 9266 1717 or visit the cathedral shop.
