BOYBAND Class A and kids favourite Peppa Pig have been announced as the headliners for a Christmas lights switch-on.

The event is being held on Sunday in Fareham town centre and will showcase some of the best local talent such as musical perfcormers Acca Voce, 2nd2Nun and Nathan Cannon.

One act performing is music education group Igloo Music, from Wickham.

Dielle Hannah, from Igloo Music, said: ‘It is a good opportunity to show everyone all the things we have been doing lately.

‘We have prepared a Christmas medley for the show including hits from Elvis and Robbie Williams.’

Another act showcasing its talents at the event are Synchronized Crew, from Gosport.

Chris Todd, who runs the street dance group, said: ‘The event is really good for the kids as they get their own tracksuits with their names on and get to perform on stage.’

The event starts at 11am, with the lights switch-on happening at 4.30pm.
