CANCER scientist Dr Edd James put shopping under the microscope when he opened the latest addition to Cancer Research UK’s high street stores.

Dr James officially opened the shop in Chapel Street, Petersfield, last week, to a big crowd of volunteers and customers eager to get cracking raising funds for research.

The volunteer team, which has moved from the Cancer Research UK shop in High Street, took £1,390 on the opening day.

The High Street shop will reopen on July 24 as a specialist Kids Emporium, selling things for children.
