A NEW taekwondo club has opened.

The club is being run on Saturday mornings at the John Pounds Centre, Queen Street, Portsea.

It takes place from 10.30am to midday and is open to people aged between seven and 70.

Lisa Scott, front of house and events manager at the centre, said: ‘Taekwondo is good for all-round body fitness.

‘It gives strength training for all your muscles so you can lift and carry safely and keep your posture good.’

For a free session, visit on Saturdays at 10.30am or call 07554 369197.
