THE date of a popular festival has been moved.

WemsFest is an extravaganza of music, poetry, and drama over two weeks across Emsworth, in Hampshire, and Westbourne, in West Sussex.

The event usually takes place in the last fortnight of September but it has been pushed back two weeks.

Organiser Mark Ringwood said: ‘It also avoids clashing with the Goodwood Revival Festival which some of our patrons wish to attend and which also causes travel and accommodation difficulties for our artists.’

Another factor is that it will give the schools they work with more preparation time.
