Defence commitee voices concerns over MoD’s ability to save £7bn

A party for children with life-limiting illnesses has been re-arranged after being cancelled because of the snow.

The Mad Hatter's Tea Party was due to take place on January 10 but because of the bad weather was postponed.

And now a new date has been set for Sunday February 21 at the Marriott Hotel, North Harbour, Cosham.

The day will have special guests, as well as The News' very own Chipper and other entertainment.

The party, which will run from 2.30pm-6pm, was the brainchild of Malcolm Drew, a local DJ whose daughter Jenny was ill with leukaemia.

When she made a recovery, Mr Drew wanted to organise a party for other children from the Portsmouth area who tackled cancer and other illnesses.

Money raised pays for equipment at local children's wards. For more information go to: madhattersparty.org
