A NEW ukulele club has seen a string of members join since opening its doors.

Igloo Music Ukulele and Guitar Choir, which provides lessons in ukulele and guitar, opened on Hayling Island last week.

The club held a Hawaiian-themed launch event, in Hayling Island Community Centre, with performances and cocktails. The ukulele classes are on every Monday at the centre from 8pm to 9.30pm and welcome people aged 16 and over. Adult guitar lessons start at 7pm, also in the centre.

Dielle Hannah, director of Igloo Music UK which runs the club, said: ‘We’re really excited about the ukulele lessons.

‘It’s such a fun instrument to play and these beginners classes are the ideal way to get stuck into a new hobby or simply socialise with the community.’
